About the role
- The Accountant I contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.
- Completes assigned tasks with attention to accuracy and adherence to established procedures and controls
- Assists with process enhancements by identifying potential improvements in daily activities
Responsibilities
- Gathers, organizes, and verifies data to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Nice to have
- 0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required
Skills
- Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
- Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
- Process improvement oriented
- Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process
