About the role

  • The Commercial Marketing Analyst will be responsible for supporting commercial business development of Chord Energy's midstream assets.
  • This individual will also be involved in negotiations with 3rd party midstream companies for crude gathering and produced water gathering and disposal for Chord operated production.
  • This position reports directly to the Commercial Midstream Director and is located in downtown Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic business plan for produced water gathering and disposal, freshwater and reuse of produced water, crude oil gathering, and gas gathering and processing
  • Support negotiations with 3rd party producers and midstream companies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party producers and midstream business partners
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other Marketing functions, Accounting, Reservoir, Planning, Operations, and other groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work with various internal and external contacts
  • Attention to details and timely completion of required tasks
  • Ability to properly assess and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Nice to have

  • Commercial negotiations and contract experience
  • Experience managing crude oil, gas and water contracts
  • Project valuation experience

Skills

  • Develop reporting tools for data analysis

Compensation

  • Level and salary commensurate with experience.
