About the role

Responsibilities

- Much of the work is independent in nature, and includes collaboration as a team, with bureau management, support staff and vendors.
- Plans and organize studies of work and organizational problems including duplication, communication, information flow, inventory control, cost containment, and integrated service delivery in order to develop and maintain efficient and economical operations.
- Analyzes data gathered, develops information and documentation, and considers solutions or alternative methods of proceeding in order to recommend organizational and system changes and modifications.
- Develops and updates manuals in order to outline performance methods, organizational policies and procedures, and system operations.
Requirements
- An intermediate to advanced level of understanding of computer software and technology is required.
- Knowledge of or a background in Unemployment Insurance is helpful but not required.
Skills
- Knowledge of data collection and interpretation methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of the organizational and staffing structures in state agencies and departments.
- Knowledge of human resources programs and services.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of analysis, work simplification, and forms and records control.
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques of establishing work standards.
- Knowledge of information management systems.
- Ability to gather, assemble, calculate, and analyze facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to analyze and interpret laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively.

Compensation
- $54,442.97 - $76,329.70/Annually (includes 5.33% Stipend
- The Management Analyst II position is part of the Training and Support Unit (TSU) under the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation (BUC), with the Department of Labor.
