About the role

- Metrology Technicians use both advanced equipment (laser trackers, portable arm CMMs) and traditional inspection equipment (micrometers, height gages, comparators, etc.) to inspect a wide variety of dimensional features.
- Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) in a safe manner.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Metrology-specific programming not required.
- Experience or exposure to GD&T - performing dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, etc.
- Proficiency in GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience with AS9100 or other quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of CAD software including Catia, SolidWorks, or Onshape.
- Experience with Metrology software such as PolyWorks, Calypso, Verisurf, or PC-DMIS., inspection equipment such as Laser Trackers, portable CMM arms, bridge CMM's, etc.
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma.
- Certification from American Society for Quality (ASQ).
- Experience with FAA regulations and Aerospace conformity requirements.
- Experience interfacing with Business Enterprise Systems such as Plex.
