Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate file and records management
  • Draft, review, revise, and finalize correspondence, form agreements, corporate governance documents (e.g., minutes), and certain filings
  • Manage attorney calendars, meeting scheduling and logistics, deadline scheduling, and travel
  • Manage legal and billing software vendors, including CounselLink and LexisNexis
  • Support surety bonds, UCC filings, and related processes
  • Assist with hearing and trial preparation and special projects, such as litigation, transactional matters, and document productions
  • You will work out of our Refinery Business Center building (LEED Silver), built in 2010, located in Commerce City, CO, adjacent to Denver

Requirements

  • Five years of experience as a legal assistant in large firm private practice or an in-house environment, preferably in corporate, transactional, or litigation practices
  • High integrity, positive attitude, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • High proficiency with digital tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of SAP, Workday, Concur and CounselLink
  • High degree of flexibility, agility, and the ability to readily adapt to changes in Suncor's business priorities and plans
  • Ability to exercise considerable discretion and judgement, including in dealing with confidential information
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
  • Minimum Requirements:

Compensation

  • $75,000 to $90,000 annually and an annual incentive program
  • Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • Annual incentive bonus program with a 20% target, 401(k) plan with up to a 6% vested match, pre-tax, Roth, and post-tax options, an automatic 1.5% profit sharing contribution, and Suncor-funded cash balance defined benefit pension plan (vests in 3 years)
