Responsibilities

  • Perform complex security, regulatory, and emergency management assignments, including Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) responsibilities and oversight of specialized programs such as employee screening, AED program management, business continuity planning, and other security and public safety initiatives.
  • Emergency Response - Support response efforts for security incidents including security breaches and other security and public safety situations.
  • Regulatory Interpretation - Interpret and apply security regulations, mandates, and operational requirements to support compliance and effective operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues, advance initiatives, and monitor contractor performance.
  • Operational Driving*: Perform tasks such as assessments and incident investigations in security-controlled areas within the AOA (Air Operations Area) that are only accessible by Airport Authority vehicle.
  • Interpersonal & Customer Focus - Communicates effectively across mediums; builds trust, resolves conflict, and engages stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving & Agility - Adapts quickly to evolving situations; generates and implements effective solutions in high-pressure environments.
  • Relationship Management - Builds strong internal and external partnerships; champions collaborative approaches to problem-solving.
  • Licenses, Certificates, and Special Requirements: Maintain a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.
  • Applicants must maintain an acceptable driving record to operate Authority vehicles.

Requirements

  • On-site days are required, based on department needs, to support collaboration and business operations.

  • A valid California driver's license is required, along with strict adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Compliance with Airport Authority vehicle use policies, including safety protocols and reporting requirements, is mandatory.

Compensation

  • The hiring salary for the Security & Public Safety Analyst II is starting at $99,738 to $114,698.
  • The full pay range for the Security & Public Safety Analyst II is $76,722 to $122,754.
