Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong presence in the field and work closely with employees on a daily basis.
  • Monitor employee performance, prepare analytical reports, and provide appropriate coaching and support.
  • Manage the procurement and supply of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-service-focused culture by building and supporting a team dedicated to meeting local customer needs.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Develop, document, and update operational policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives;

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in operations management, including at least 2 years in the metals industry or a related sector (asset);
  • Proven experience managing teams of 5 or more employees with measurable results;
  • Experience leading organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and project management tools;
  • Perform any other related duties as required by operational needs.

  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team motivation abilities;
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Preferred certifications: Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent certification.
