Responsibilities
- The Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) in the PEARCE Renewables Solar Operations and Maintenance Division performs tasks involving physical labor at solar energy sites near Huntsville, Alabama.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.
- Travel requirements dependent on support of the company (up to 25% travel).
Requirements
- Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- To help you be successful at work, as required for the role, we will provide a company vehicle, phone, laptop, or tablet along with all necessary tools and safety equipment.
Nice to have
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
- Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
- Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
- Testing/troubleshooting installed solar equipment and ensuring proper working order.
- Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Able work in a solo as well as a group environment.
- 2+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred.
- Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment is preferred.
Compensation
- $30.00-$42.00 hourly/DOE
