About the role
- You'll make foundational architecture decisions across reliability, performance, cost, isolation, and operability.
- You'll work across product engineering, platform, security, and customer-facing teams to make Console deployable in the environments our customers actually run.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate the infrastructure behind Console's cloud-hosted platform across AWS, Kubernetes, and related cloud systems, making critical tradeoffs across performance, cost, reliability, and security
- Own core infrastructure components that need to scale with customer complexity, including the graph, search, queueing, and runtime systems behind Console's context layer
- Design deployment patterns that let Console run reliably across hosted and customer-hosted environments without slowing down product velocity
- Partner with customer-facing teams on enterprise deployment requirements, translating real customer constraints into durable infrastructure improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time experience in infrastructure, backend, platform, or distributed systems engineering
- You have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, with a real understanding of the tradeoffs behind architecture decisions
- You have experience with IaC tools like Pulumi or Terraform and are comfortable working in a modern TypeScript/Node/React codebase
- You can reason through deployment models, networking, data isolation, infrastructure constraints, and operational failure modes
