About the role

We are searching for an Accounting Manager for our Accounting Department.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all SHELTER, Inc. accounts payable, accruals, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
Responsible for processing and maintaining prepaid expenses, property accounting, and foundation and donation revenue.

Quality control - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality.
Demonstrated capacity to maintain highest standards of confidentiality with all records, including organizational and individual information.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field is required.
5+ progressive experience in Accounting with a demonstrated track record of taking on increasing responsibility.
At least 2 years management or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Must be comfortable communicating with management across all divisions regarding cost allocations, account variances, invoice approvals, etc.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, analytical, self-motivated and possess a team attitude.
