About the role

  • Provides visual inspection and quality control by monitoring construction progress.
  • Ensures compliance with intended results, codes, regulations, and requested standards.
  • Organizes and controls project materials, schedules, and costs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client issues in relation to construction decisions and preferences.
  • Provide maintenance support and/or technical advice to other departments and schools throughout the University system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Construction or Project Management.
  • MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Construction or Project Management.
  • Ability to address multiple tasks, technical issues, and contingencies simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize ongoing and new projects, to facilitate timely completion of projects and to conduct research and gather information.
  • Valid Maryland Non-Commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license may be required.

Skills

  • Records any relevant or outstanding issues in project and/or technical specialty databases/ reports.
  • Skill in acting as a liaison with external agencies, campuses, or other high level contacts.
  • Consultation and change management skills.
  • Oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
