Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of the company's insurance coverages, including but not limited to primary and excess Third Party Liability, Property, and Marine coverages.
- Manage the relationship with insurance brokers, insurers, third party claims administrators, and other Risk Management vendors.
- Manage Risk Management department internal procedures.
- Manage the accounting, recordkeeping and reporting of Risk Management costs and expenses.
- Manage the preparation, distribution, and tracking of financial responsibility documents.
- Support general Risk Management services for the company and its affiliates and subsidiaries (i.e. oral presentations to Oxy operations, written reports to management, etc.).
- Provide support for special projects (i.e. acquisitions, divestitures, RFP's, etc.).

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) required.

- Minimum 6 years of experience in property and casualty insurance (e.g. underwriting, broking and/or risk management). Experience in a Risk Management department highly preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and strong computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for actions and outcomes, performance and results.
- Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM), RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
- Energy industry Risk Management experience.

- Manage the preparation of annual underwriting submissions.
- Compile the Risk Management department's annual report.
