About the role

  • Since 1999, Newtek has provided state-of-the-art, cost-efficient products and services and efficient business strategies to SMB relationships across all 50 states to help them grow their sales, control their expenses, and reduce their risk.
  • Small Business Lending, LLC. is looking to add a Paralegal to its team.
  • The Paralegal is responsible for assisting closing attorneys in preparing loan closing packages in connection with U.S. Small Business Administration ("SBA") loans.

Responsibilities

  • Develops familiarity with all loan structures;
  • We require all of our employees to perform work in an ethical manner and uphold our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics at all times.

Requirements

  • Pulls reports required for closing;

Skills

  • Newtek's and its subsidiaries' business and financial solutions include:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial loan closings, specifically extensive familiarity with SBA loan documentation;
  • Familiarity with commercial loan closing documentation;
  • Highly Proficient with file management and PDF software, and MS Office suite;
  • Strong organization skills;
  • Ability to follow orders of senior legal staff and show initiative;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Bachelor's degree preferred;
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.

Compensation

  • $60,000 to $75,000 per year
