About the role
- We're looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Full Stack) to embed deeply with our largest healthcare practices and ensure Basata's AI agents work effortlessly inside their day-to-day operations.
- You'll be a true full-stack software engineer with strong applied AI experience, responsible for adapting our platform and agents to customer-specific workflows, integrating with EMRs and adjacent systems, and owning production outcomes end-to-end.
- You'll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features that bridge workflow gaps-UI components, backend services, data pipelines, and integrations needed to make deployments successful.
- Own production outcomes at assigned practices: accuracy, containment, latency, reliability, efficiency gains and ROI.
- Create deployment playbooks: repeatable patterns, best practices, testing checklists, rollout plans, and documentation to scale implementations across practices.
- Drive real impact. Your work will help clinics run more smoothly and ensure patients get the care they need-faster and with fewer headaches.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful ownership of production systems.
- Full-stack strength: you can ship across frontend + backend + data flows (React/TypeScript + Java/Springboot, REST APIs, databases, queues, EHR integrations etc.).
- Applied AI experience in production: LLM-based agents, tool calling/function calling, evaluation/observability, prompt + workflow iteration, reliability/latency tradeoffs.
