About the role
- This role is a hands-on engineering position working across a diverse set of messaging, database, caching, search, and analytics technologies in on-premises, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- The ideal candidate brings a solid base experience in DevOps practices, automation, and production operations, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to follow best practices for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Support platform deployments, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Help build and maintain observability capabilities including monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes with guidance where needed.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response efforts to support service reliability.

Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with one or more enterprise platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Redis, or relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure environments such as AWS, Azure, or VMware.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
- Basic scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus, particularly with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and deploying or supporting containerized workloads.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems administration
- Windows Server experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation
- $88,300 - $123,500 USD
- The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience.
- The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
