About the role

  • ABOUT THE INSTRUCTIONAL MATH COACH: Achievers Early College Prep is excited to grow a team of teachers who are committed to continuously improving curriculum and instruction through collaboration.
  • Instructional Coaches are needed to be the catalyst for our teachers to be better at identifying and implementing tools and strategies that improve student outcomes.
  • Students can have access to a program that allows them to earn up to 60 college credits, NOCTI credentials and workplace training.

Responsibilities

  • Driven to deliver rigorous instruction by emphasizing student engagement with complex texts, critical thinking, and comprehensive literary analysis

Requirements

  • 3+ years working in classrooms and coaching teachers, preferably in urban schools and/or communities, with a proven record of strong academic achievement
  • Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms
  • Experience in schools that rely heavily on intervention, literacy, and content knowledge as a means to dramatically increase student achievement
  • Quantifiable track record of outstanding academic results
  • Extensive knowledge of Mathematic interventions that specifically target Math skills
  • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated history of collaboration- building trust with staff.
  • Adept interpersonal and communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Valid NJ Teacher Certification in Math or related subject
