Responsibilities

  • Develop and present cross-functional team recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Represent the company with investigators, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead ongoing review and interpretation of clinical data to ensure scientific integrity and data quality.
  • Identify emerging safety, efficacy, and operational trends to support informed development decisions.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Data Management, and Biostatistics to ensure robust data quality and timely database locks.
  • Guide interpretation of study results and support development of clinical study reports.
  • Drive scientific communications including abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations, and external publications.
  • Support due diligence activities, business development opportunities, and strategic collaborations as appropriate.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree with board certification and clinical experience as an attending physician.
  • Experience within small biotechnology companies, with demonstrated success operating in lean, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Significant experience in oncology drug development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional clinical development teams.
  • Experience interpreting clinical data and guiding development decisions.

Nice to have

  • Clinical expertise in breast and/or endometrial oncology.
  • Prior experience as an attending physician in oncology.

Compensation

  • Range: $320,000 - $425,000 (actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications and location)

  • Lead the overall medical strategy for assigned oncology programs, ensuring scientific rigor, patient safety, and successful execution.
  • Support medical monitoring across the studies providing consistency and oversight.
  • Provide ongoing medical oversight to ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and high-quality clinical execution.
  • Partner with Pharmacovigilance to oversee SAE review, signal detection, benefit-risk assessments, and safety governance.
  • Provide medical leadership for regulatory interactions, including briefing documents, health authority meetings, INDs, NDAs/BLAs, and other regulatory submissions.
