About the role
- Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach is looking to hire a Referral Specialist for our CAC Department.
- Specialists are responsible for managing orders within their assigned work queues.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheduling patients, confirms insurance eligibility through the real-time eligibility (RTE) tool, or pre-registering patients. Validates accuracy of data when performing these functions.

Requirements
- Consistently meets required department adherence and quality metrics.
- Requires knowledge of proper scheduling procedures, call handling, or preregistration requirements.
- High School Diploma (required)
Nice to have
- 1 year of customer service experience (required)
- Epic experience (preferred)
Compensation
