Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Ownership & Technical Activity: Maintain a high level of technical engagement and remain actively hands-on, contributing to critical design reviews, setting coding standards, and demonstrating a genuine passion for writing and shipping code.
  • System Scaling & Delivery: Oversee the design and implementation of highly complex distributed systems capable of handling massive transactional volume and user growth, demonstrating a great track record of delivering software at high velocity.
  • Team Management & Growth: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering organization.
  • Innovation & Technology: Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including leveraging latest AI models and technology to enhance platform efficiency, security, and feature development.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling platforms to support millions of users and high throughput transaction volumes.
  • Proven ability to attract, hire, and develop top-tier engineering talent, with a focus on growing senior and principal-level engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience architecting or building platforms where the design required thinking deeply about security and attack vectors (e.g., in finance, payments, crypto, or authentication).

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and AWS infrastructure (experience with TEE big plus)

Compensation

  • For employees hired to work from our NYC HQ, Fireblocks is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
