About the role
- The SMT Operator will assist in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards, product assemblies, and report to the operations manager.
- Our line includes a Speedprint 710 stencil printer, Europlacer iiNEO+ pick and place machine, BTU reflow oven, and Omron 730 AOI machine.
- Programming and maintenance of the SMT assembly line and any related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all facets of surface mount assembly.
- Set-up of the equipment, and maintain operation, which includes machine adjustments and ability to perform set-up (feeder loading and changing) per the manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform hand soldering, inspection, and rework, SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per Engineering specifications and IPC workmanship standards.
Requirements
- Technical Degree or 2 years work experience
- Technical communication skills. must be able to interface with engineering and purchasing
Nice to have
- Component sourcing experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of standards in electronic components handling preferred
Skills
- Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set.
- Qualifications, Skill, and Attributes
- Hands on manufacturing skills such as manual soldering
- Working with extremely small parts using a microscope and small hand tools
- Use hand, air, and power tools
Compensation
- $30-34 per hour
