Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the client base, supported industries, and the firm's practice areas and services
  • Utilize legal precedents to address client situations and develop creative solutions
  • Execute case preparation and filings, and develop strategies for complex matters
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, Partners, and others
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes, products, or services
  • Ensure adherence to firm standards and policies to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory, operational, and client compliance
  • Experience utilizing legal precedents (e.g., BALCA decisions, USCIS Policy Memoranda, DOL Policy Memoranda) to address client situations and develop solutions;
  • Experience providing mentoring, coaching, and performance management feedback to Associates and support staff;

Requirements

Skills

  • JD or LLM degree required;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney required;
  • Membership in a U.S. state bar or the District of Columbia bar required;
  • Experience researching complex technical immigration issues and formulating solutions, including completing appropriate documentation;
  • Experience drafting and reviewing complex legal analyses in response to government requests;

Compensation

  • Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data.
  • A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
  • $142,000.00 - $178,000.00
  • The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws.
