About the role

  • Provides clinical insight and feedback to Social Services Department interns and aids in their development.
  • Provides group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other didactic groups for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
  • Attends regular treatment team meetings as needed to provide the social work perspective to total interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Lead will assist the Director of Social Services in overseeing Associate Clinicians who are accruing supervised clinical hours toward Social Work licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  • The Clinical Lead will also provide high-quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to adult psychiatric patients and their families, spouses, or significant others.
  • The Clinical Lead will actively participate in the multi-disciplinary treatment team to support program philosophy, deliver quality psychotherapeutic services to psychiatric patients and families, while prioritizing patient safety and well-being. *Pay
  • Supports interns with co-facilitating group therapy sessions.
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patients and their family members.

  • Reports to community/state agencies any patient issues as required by law for mandated reporting.
