About the role

This senior management position, located within Regional Wastewater Reclamation's Conveyance Division, is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of 3600+ miles of conveyance system and 40+ field staff.
As the division manager, core responsibilities include budget and financial performance, operational oversight, team leadership, communication, and process improvement.
T his position requires a current ADEQ Grade 4 Collections Certification at time of application.

Develops long-/short-term goals and related planning for the division;
Develops and administers budgets for assigned division, and provides input to the Departmental budget processes;
May represent or act on behalf of the Department Director for own area of responsibility and as directed.

Valid driver license is required at time of application.
Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination.
Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.

Minimum t en (10) years operational experience within a Wastewater Conveyance System.
Minimum f ive (5) years supervisory experience, including scheduling, discipline, and performance management.
Minimum f ive (5) years experience and knowledge of mandated safety rules/regulations, including but not limited to: lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and traffic control.
Minimum f ive (5) years experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) program such as Infor IPS/ Maximo to schedule, track, and analyze data.

Provides strategic direction and leadership for the assigned division within the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD);
Resolves problems/issues arising from operations of subordinate units;
Participates in or acts as Departmental representative for, various committees, task forces, boards and commissions;
Coordinates division operations with other internal divisions, County agencies, departments, and outside agencies;
Supervises, trains and evaluates subordinate professional, paraprofessional and technical staff, to include contractors;
Monitors contractual agreements and services, and prepares requests for and analyzes proposals received for area of responsibility;

$96,200 - $144,289 Annually
Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
