About the role

  • We believe the future of professional software engineering is humans managing fleets of AI agents.
  • This won't just be for writing code, however, but also for responding to incidents, analyzing production data, automatically fixing bugs, and reviewing code.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain one of the key infrastructure components of Exponent, such as the Exponent control plane server, the fleet of servers hosting user codebases, database proxies, continuous release pipelines for on prem deployments, and so on.
  • We build from the ground up on simple primitives: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Redis Have experience working on a systems or infrastructure project, such as a compiler, orchestration system, message queue, database, or other distributed system.

Requirements

  • Innovate on new infrastructure that hasn't been invited yet that will be required to make working with agents at scale possible for large enterprise engineering teams.
  • Strong candidates will have a few of the following: Have experience with modern backend Python stack.
  • Have experience with modern backend Python stack.

Nice to have

  • Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Redis Have experience working on a systems or infrastructure project, such as a compiler, orchestration system, message queue, database, or other distributed system.
  • Exponent's product requires fault tolerant, low latency, and real time communication between several services, and a history of working on such systems is a plus.
