- This technician will have general laboratory responsibilities such as processing patient specimens, performing routine tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, performing data entry, and preserving laboratory records.
- This technician will also participate in group meetings with physician-scientists, research faculty, staff and students focused on the cancer research projects in which he/she is a participant.
Requirements
- Job Functions Receives and accepts samples from clinics and hospitals, separates them by type of tests required, and distributes to different laboratory sections that will perform each specific type of test.
- Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent course work.
Skills
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
