About the role
- In this role, you will operate and monitor the ram extrusion process to produce finished and semi-finished products that meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer specifications.
- The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Load, monitor, refill, and exchange resin bins to maintain continuous production.
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other gauges.
- Process, document, and properly dispose of production scrap in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform routine housekeeping and maintain an organized work area using 5S principles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, manufacturing instructions, and product specifications.
- Basic computer proficiency and strong mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds (or as required by the position).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely perform the essential functions of the position.
- As a Federal Contractor, Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is required to participate in the E-Verify Program to confirm eligibility to work in the United States.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
- Physical Requirements
Nice to have
- Previous manufacturing, production, extrusion, or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience with M3 or other ERP systems is a plus.
Compensation
- The salary for this position is $22.70.
- Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
- This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

- We are seeking a safety-focused, detail-oriented Ram Extrusion Line Operator to join our manufacturing team.
- Essential Responsibilities
- Safely operate the Ram Extrusion Line, including equipment startup, shutdown, and production changeovers.
- Monitor the extrusion process to ensure products meet quality, dimensional, and performance specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues involving temperature, cooling, feed rates, resin flow, and product quality.
- Operate the AutoDrill, including setup, tooling changes, cleaning, changeovers, and quality inspections.
- Read and interpret manufacturing orders, blueprints, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Verify calibration of measuring equipment and accurately complete production documentation and Data Collection Sheets (DCS).
