About the role

  • Veterinary Technicians at LVVSC play a vital role in both patient care and client service.
  • In addition to core technical skills-such as patient restraint, medication administration, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy-Cardiology Technicians will also be responsible for specialized duties within the department.
  • Assist veterinarians and cardiologists with:

Responsibilities

  • Sedation and anesthesia support
  • Prepare and maintain sterile procedure areas and specialized equipment
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of anesthetic monitoring
  • Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
  • Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
