About the role
- Veterinary Technicians at LVVSC play a vital role in both patient care and client service.
- In addition to core technical skills-such as patient restraint, medication administration, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy-Cardiology Technicians will also be responsible for specialized duties within the department.
- Assist veterinarians and cardiologists with:
Responsibilities
- Sedation and anesthesia support
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedure areas and specialized equipment
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic monitoring
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
