About the role
- TSC is seeking an Systems Engineer in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering support for the development of new AEGIS and Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) baselines.
- Analyze system performance data and recommend design or performance improvements based on tactical and operational insights.
- Develop and maintain MATLAB-based tools for data processing and analysis.
- Support certification processes, flight test missions, and configuration control boards through detailed documentation and status reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics or related technical field and 5 or more years of industry or DoD/DoN experience.
- Requires a strong understanding of RADAR engineering and physics and how to optimize the detection and tracking of contacts using the SPY 6 RADAR in the AEGIS Weapons System.
- The candidate needs to be familiar with testing and development protocol as well as required documentation for program development and system/element qualification and certification.
- Experience with AEGIS Combat Systems.
- Provide engineering expertise and contribute to technical interchanges and other program planning discussions.
- Willingness and ability to travel to test and operational sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Proficient with MATLAB or equivalent for data analysis.
- Experience with SCUS, SABE, GICA, and MMSP systems.
- Familiarity with Fiber Optic Delay Line (FODL) systems.
- Previous experience supporting Navy or DoD development and test programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical findings.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
