About the role
- To diagnose, evaluate and treat individuals with communications problems such as speech, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Experience cannot be substituted for educational requirement.
- Mississippi Speech and Language Pathologist license upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements treatment plans for problems such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, and inappropriate pitch or voice problems.
- develops speech exercise programs.
- Maintains records of initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of patients.
Requirements

- Knowledge of the nature and psychobiological basis of speech-language and/or auditory impairments.
- Knowledge of speech articulation and language skills therapy techniques.
- Master's degree in speech pathology or related field and met the requirements for certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Nice to have
- Certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
