About the role
- The Studio JV team at HPP plays a central and critical role in the overall success of the company, directly responsible for the oversight of the Studio Portfolio vertical throughout its lifecycle with HPP.
- Maintaining and creating portfolio value requires constant collaboration throughout the organization by the Studio JV team, primarily with the Accounting, Construction, Development, Engineering, Finance, Investments Leasing, and Operations teams.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute on multiple levels with essential responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Operating and Capital budget development: support the company-wide operating and capital budget process.
- Business Plans & Deck Creation/Conceptualization: lead and complete comprehensive business plans to arrive at a stated recommendation and articulate findings in a clear and concise manner.
- This would include development of materials for internal presentations and JV partners and lenders to convey and communicate findings.
- Cross-functional liaison: develop strong relationships with cross-functional groups (Accounting, Construction, Development, Engineering, Finance, Investments, Leasing, and Operations) across the entire company with a focus on analytics, process improvements, and problem solving
- includes coordination of key meetings which may include formulating the topics to cover, building, and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate.
- Performance Optimization: work directly with the Director, Studio Joint Ventures to design, develop, and implement process improvements to drive enhanced efficiencies and portfolio performance visibility.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and ability to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- He began building a seasoned team, purchased two Hollywood studio lots, and dramatically expanded our California office footprint by taking the company public in 2010.
- Today, from our Los Angeles headquarters, to Silicon Valley, to San Francisco, to Seattle, to Vancouver and beyond, we own, transform, build and operate marquee office and studio.

Requirements
- 2+ years of prior experience in applicable commercial real estate, FP&A, public accounting, or strategy consulting.
- Highly motivated with superb verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates the ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Ability to synthesize data and financial metrics and convert into recommendations for logical and thoughtful decision making.
- Ability to take ownership of individual assignments and effectively prioritize commitments by producing high quality and timely completion of deliverables.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree required, with a major in a technical field (Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.) preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel (advanced level), PowerPoint, and Word, with working knowledge of Yardi preferred.
