About the role
- This role reports to the P-8 Wiring Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
- Safety and quality are the number one priority.
- This position will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
- Analyze results and support design reviews.
- Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cabinets, cable routing and geometry, antennas).
- Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., troubleshooting, rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
- Follow documented processes, specifications, and procedures supporting the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
- Support the development of basic and complex statements of work, maintain schedule awareness, and contribute to metric measures.
- Analyze functional and physical input to ensure development of complete integrated designs.
- Travel as needed to support various activities (less than 10%).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Nice to have
- 2 or more years of experience working in cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and release electrical system installation and wire harness engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures.
- Experience with Model-Based Definition tools such as CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, ENOVIA, and PDM.
- This position offers relocation.

Compensation
- Level 2: $96,600-$133,400
- Level 3: $119,850-$162,150

- As an Associate Wire Installation Engineer, you will work in a dynamic team environment integrating across the full production value stream from Engineering to Shop Floor to execute both post-production modifications and standard production wiring for the P-8 aircraft.
- Wiring serves as the integration point between the physical aircraft structure and mission systems capability, providing exposure to nearly every design IPT and a broad understanding of the aircraft and its systems.
