About the role

  • This position plays an integral role in maintaining the quality and consistency of HR services in alignment with Loram's ICARE values.
  • Up to a seven-year history is considered. - Drug and Alcohol Testing: All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR Operations activities related to compliance, audits, process improvement, and cross‑functional coordination, while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, business management, international business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of human resources experience with demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws, audit practices, and DOT regulations.

Nice to have

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP)
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, railroads, transportation, heavy construction, or similar industries
  • DER Certification under DOT 49 CFR Part 40
  • Familiarity with FRA Part 219, Drug & Alcohol Testing Rules

Compensation

  • Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.
  • Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.

  • Provide guidance and operational support to employees, leaders, and HR partners regarding workers' compensation and leave processes, expectations, and employment impacts.
  • Monitor, track, and report on workers' compensation and leave activity, including open cases, lost‑time claims, trends, aging, and related metrics.
