Perform drilling work for extended periods to support project completion.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment, including lubrication and replacement of parts.
Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Five (5) or more years of drilling or related construction experience required.
Ability to pass a drug, driving (if applicable) and background screenings.
Select, install, and change drill bits and drill rods as required based on hole depth and material conditions.
Eligible after 1 year of service, must be taken within the calendar year.

Experience supporting drilling operations in rural or Arctic environments is preferred.
Prior experience in Alaska's rural construction industry is preferred.
Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Company's Driving Policy preferred.
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work is primarily performed at outdoor construction sites in rural Alaska and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, vibration, dust, and heavy equipment.
STG has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.
At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites.

Strong knowledge of drilling methods, materials, terminology, and standard heavy construction practices.
Knowledge of drill setup, alignment, and hole layout in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Skilled in selecting, installing, and changing drill bits and rods based on material conditions, hole depth, and project requirements.
Ability to regulate air pressure, rotary speed, and downward pressure to achieve accurate and efficient drilling results.
Basic math skills sufficient to calculate hole depth, spacing, measurements, and related material quantities accurately.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules.
Ability to identify jobsite hazards, follow safety procedures, and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Strong work ethic, reliability, self-motivation, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and project conditions while maintaining productivity.
Ability to travel to rural worksites up to 100% of the time and remain on rotation for extended assignments.
Ability to participate effectively in group meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by project needs
