- Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Able to get along with other people.
- Good, clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate the Press Operation.
- Able to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise and backgrounds.
- Requires effective decision making, problem solving and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- This position is responsible for the production and quality of the printed product.
- Mount rolls on unwind machine.
- Insure the unwind area is stocked with appropriate supplies for the next shift.
- Make sure unwind and rewind splicers are always ready to make a splice.
- Fill out View report correctly.
- Fill out Paper Reject Form correctly.
- At all times assist Second Press Operator with Register and ink (viscosity, pH and color as needed).
- Clean and rebuild doctor blades or heads.
