About the role
- We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our Chicago Headquarters team.
- Record and reconcile revenue from POS systems, prepare monthly accrual and deferral entries, and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
- This individual will also support acquisitions and new entity integrations while helping strengthen the accounting function through process improvements, audit readiness, and documentation.
- Support acquisitions, new entity integrations, and system implementations by preparing opening balance sheets and assisting with the accounting for goodwill and other intangible assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues, identify process improvements, and support other projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with financial reporting and month-end close, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting 3+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of public accounting experience required.
