About the role

  • This position offers the opportunity to solve complex industrial automation challenges while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to high-impact projects across a variety of industries.
  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Atlanta office in Peachtree City, GA.
  • The position is salaried and includes eligibility for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control packages based on project requirements and process documentation (P&IDs).
  • Develop PLC I/O schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material.
  • Design motor control circuits, MCC interfaces, and VFD systems.
  • Develop three-line diagrams, cable schedules, and conduit layouts.
  • Apply NEC, NFPA, and UL standards to project designs.
  • Prepare project scopes of work, design concepts, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Support installation activities, contractor bid walks, startup activities, and I/O verification.
  • Lead portions of projects and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material.
  • Knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical design standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience designing industrial control panels, MCCs, VFD systems, or automation-related electrical systems.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20-25%, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Experience with PLC hardware, industrial control networks, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Experience in food & beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries.
  • Required Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited institution.

Nice to have

  • Preferred FE or PE certification.
