Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-8 years of relevant engineering experience (early-career and mid-level candidates encouraged)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with 3U OpenVPX, VPX ATR chassis, or rugged embedded computing hardware programs
  • Familiarity with SOSA, MOSA, CMOSS, or VITA standards in a manufacturing or program context
  • Hands-on background in Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) for airborne or defense electronics programs
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for inventory, procurement, and logistics tracking
  • Hands-on experience with embedded/rugged hardware bring-up and qualification
  • A builder's mindset and eagerness to learn across disciplines
  • Early finish on Friday

  • Ultra Mission Solutions is looking for Systems and Electrical Engineers to design the next generation of rugged mission-compute solutions, with a particular emphasis on the 3U-VPX space.
  • This is a hands-on engineering role spanning the full development lifecycle from concept and electrical design through mechanical packaging, system assembly, integration, and qualification test.
  • In this role, you will contribute to the design, integration, and test of rugged and edge-compute systems, working across electrical design, mechanical packaging, system assembly, and integration and test.
  • You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to bring certifiable compute platforms from concept through qualification, and you will support design reviews, hardware bring-up, and verification and validation activities.
