About the role

EnerMech is seeking an experienced Technical Training & Competency Manager to lead the implementation, embedding and continuous improvement of our global technical training and competency framework.
This is a highly visible global role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, ensuring our workforce has the technical skills, competence and capability required to safely deliver complex energy projects across every region and business line.
Working closely with operational leaders, QHSE, subject matter experts and regional teams, you will drive consistency in competency assurance, technical training and workforce capability, supporting safe operations, workforce mobility and operational excellence worldwide.

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EnerMech's global technical training and competency framework.
Drive consistency in technical training, competency assessments and capability assurance across all business lines and regions.
Partner with operational leaders to identify workforce capability gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
Maintain oversight of technical competencies, certifications, qualifications and workforce compliance to ensure operational readiness.
Develop and enhance competency frameworks, assessment processes and technical standards for safety-critical roles.
Support mobilisation activities, client audits and tender submissions by ensuring personnel meet mandatory competency requirements.
Willingness to travel internationally to support business operations and global initiatives.

Strong understanding of competency frameworks, certification management, workforce compliance and technical capability assurance.
A degree, diploma or equivalent experience in Training, Engineering, Operations or a related discipline.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external training providers and industry partners while promoting a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and competency management platforms.
