About the role
- PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment.
- The Equipment Operator is proficient in the use of a diverse range of construction equipment, including, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Graders, Skid Steers and other pieces of equipment.
- TYPICAL DUTIES: Operate multiple pieces of construction equipment used in construction in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience operating equipment.
- Knowledge of proper operation of equipment as well as safety standards.
- Thorough knowledge of construction.
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- OSHA competent person trained in trench and excavation safety.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, see, sit, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
- Lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Travel to various worksites may be required.
- Pay commensurate will experience.
- Reports to Superintendent.
