About the role
- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Milling Machine Machinist 2 for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Looking for a Milling Machine Machinist 2 to support our Tooling department.
- Sets up and operates plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances.
- Exclude general, all-around machinists and operators who do not perform own setups or determine sequence of operations.
Requirements
- o High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years experience. o CNC Mill Experience. o CNC Lathe Experience. o Programming (MCAM). o 10% Travel.
Nice to have
- o 5 Axis Machining. o Live tooling for CNC Lathe. o Wire EDM. o SNK 5 Axis.
- School must be accredited.
- WORK HOURS: Full-Time 4/10 workweek.
- 2nd shift, 3PM - 1:30 AM.
- Monday- Thursday.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
