About the role

This role is first and foremost a pre-opening commercial leadership position.
The DOS will serve as Nell's primary commercial representative to the luxury travel advisor community, global consortia programs, corporate accounts, and local and national organizations.
This position reports to the Hotel General Manager and Vice President of Sales.

Develop personal and team sales goals and strategies and ensure alignment with the brand business strategy
Maintain an awareness of the hotel's market position and develop short-term and long-term strategies to enhance The Nell, New York's position in the local and regional marketplace

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hotel or restaurant management required
7 years of related industry experience required
3 years in people leadership required
Pre-opening hotel experience required

4 years previous experience as Director of Sales at an ultra-luxury urban hotel property (ADR $1,200+) at a 5-star/5-diamond level required
New York City market experience strongly preferred
