Responsibilities
- This is a great entry-level opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a solid foundation in public budgeting and fiscal analysis.
- As a Budget Associate, you'll support the management of Maricopa County's impressive $4.3 billion budget, helping to ensure responsible stewardship of public resources.
Requirements
- Requires working standard business hours Monday through Friday and may be required to work after hours on weekends, or holidays as needed during the pressing months of the budget cycle.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
Compensation
- $60,000 - $87,500 annually
- Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
- This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and maintaining the County's annual budget

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.
