About the role
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Energy Underwriter to join our growing team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting, managing, and growing a book of energy business, including risks across oil & gas, renewables, power generation, and related sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain broker relationships to drive profitable growth and retention of the energy portfolio.
- Collaborate with claims, risk engineering, and actuarial teams to holistically assess and price risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (preferably in insurance, business, engineering, or related field).
- Deep knowledge of energy industry operations, trends, and insurance products.
- Proficiency with underwriting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have
- Professional insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, ARe) are an asset.
- Familiarity with international energy risks or complex/specialty energy placements.
