About the role

  • In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and track orders, monitor backorders, assist with expediting shipments, and maintain purchasing documentation.
  • Accurately input data into inventory and procurement systems and maintain organized records in accordance with company standards.
  • Use company and customer systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Citrix, VWR+, ChemSW) to complete daily tasks and maintain data accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet safety, quality, and performance standards

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or related operations preferred
  • Exposure to laboratory or regulated environments (e.g., GMP) is a plus.
  • Avantor works with a preferred supplier list and will take the initiative to engage with recruitment agencies based on its needs and will not be accepting any form of solicitation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Familiarity with inventory or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) preferred
  • Basic understanding of order tracking and inventory processes
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping procedures is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Willingness to learn and develop operational knowledge
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in lab and/or warehouse environments

Compensation

  • Hourly pay range: $24.00 - $27.00
