About the role
- In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Responsibilities
- Enter and track orders, monitor backorders, assist with expediting shipments, and maintain purchasing documentation.
- Accurately input data into inventory and procurement systems and maintain organized records in accordance with company standards.
- Use company and customer systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Citrix, VWR+, ChemSW) to complete daily tasks and maintain data accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to meet safety, quality, and performance standards
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or related operations preferred
- Exposure to laboratory or regulated environments (e.g., GMP) is a plus.
- Avantor works with a preferred supplier list and will take the initiative to engage with recruitment agencies based on its needs and will not be accepting any form of solicitation.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use
- Familiarity with inventory or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) preferred
- Basic understanding of order tracking and inventory processes
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop operational knowledge
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in lab and/or warehouse environments
Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $24.00 - $27.00
