About the role

  • Safety Leadership: Provide visible safety leadership and actively contribute to the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of a strong, sustainable safety culture in fleet parts operations.
  • Business Optimization & Strategy: Evaluate parts organization performance based on inventory accuracy, fill rates, cost control, and service level metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive real-time safety accountability through warehouse audits, safe material handling practices, facility inspections, training, and incident review processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, procurement strategies, stocking levels, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure accurate demand planning, stocking strategies, and parts availability to support fleet maintenance and operational uptime.
  • Maintain strong oversight of parts flow, cycle counts, obsolescence management, and system accuracy.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing parts professionals.
  • Establish clear expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and manage performance effectively.
  • Drive employee engagement and ensure team capabilities align with operational needs.
  • Support and manage labor relations including union agreements, grievances, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Fleet Operations, Maintenance Managers, Finance, Procurement, and external suppliers.

Nice to have

  • Five or more years of experience in fleet parts management, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory systems, procurement processes, and parts operations
  • Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance parts, supply chain best practices, and inventory control methods
  • Experience working within union labor environments preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management, APICS, or Fleet Management

Compensation

  • $97,600.00 to $159,100.00 per year
