About the role
- EPI Power is hiring an Electrical Procurement Engineer/ Electrical Purchaser to join our team in Oklahoma!
- EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers.
Responsibilities
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) in accordance with project schedules and budget requirements.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and lead times
- Maintain accurate procurement records, logs, and departmental reports.
- Assist with material inspections, delivery coordination, and site or warehouse support as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams to support procurement execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday - Saturday (58 hours per week).
- expedite late or critical items as required.
- The Company is a drug and alcohol-free workplace and background checks are required if applicable.
Nice to have
- 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a construction or industrial environment.
- Electrical background is preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of purchase order processing, vendor coordination, and material tracking.
- Ability to interpret material lists, scopes, and basic technical descriptions.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills with vendors and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues early.
- Technology:
- Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to learn ERP and procurement systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Procore, Kojo, or similar).
