About the role
- Prepares racks of glass units for loading into autoclave as indicated on production schedules and instructions.
- Balances and ties down rack load, as necessary.
- Operates overhead crane and helps manipulate rack loading into autoclave and for unloading after processing.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a Specials Boilers License.
- Performs duties in a safe manner using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
- Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation.
- Maintains records and logs of department activities.
- Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area at the end of the workday.
- May perform reasonably similar or related duties as instructed.
- Operates the Autoclave equipment in processing glass products and operates and maintains boilers on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and understand work instructions (English).
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
- Must be able to safely perform essential job functions.

- Forklift License.
- Boiler License 2A or 2B
- Mathematical skills as related to measurements.
- Familiar with operating power tools.
- Regular full-time attendance.
- Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.
