About the role
- This role is responsible for managing the business of the assigned manufacturing area with regards to people, safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of direct reports including recordkeeping, time-tracking, training/development and managing performance.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of current and new equipment and/or processes in order to support their development and optimization.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams regarding the concentration and execution of corrective actions by identifying the root cause (5 Why's, 8D's).
- Create a positive working environment, which eliminates fear and intimidation and fosters team growth and professionalism.
- Develop working knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area.
Requirements
- Plan production to meet customer demands while maintaining a high level of product quality required by the customer.
- 2 - 4-year degree in a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
