Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a New Jersey approved or accredited program for surgical technicians or graduate of an LPN school with current LPN license.
- Certification from nationally recognized body for surgical technician preferred.
- No previous experience required.
- Certification from Nationally recognized body for Surgical Technician preferred and encouraged.
Skills
- Specialty surgical services may require specific training, experience, knowledge, and skills.
- Special Training: Certification from Nationally recognized body for Surgical Technician preferred and encouraged.
- Completion of designated annual competencies.
- Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Usual Work Day: 8 Hours
- Prepares the operating room by opening sterile supplies, instruments and sutures based on scheduled procedure and surgeon preference card.
- Follows policies for scrubbing, gowning, gloving, setting up back table, draping and counting with the circulating nurse.
- Performs scrub assistance for all procedures.
Compensation
