About the role

As a Hospice Nurse, you will assume responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
You will utilize the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and seamless coordination with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.
Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within 4 years of their hire date.
Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Gain specialized experience in areas such as wound care, medication management, and IV therapy, all in a homecare setting.
